NORTHEAST NEBRASKA'S PASSPORT TO HERITAGE

COME CELEBRATE NORTHEAST NEBRASKA’S HERITAGE – VISIT THESE MUSEUMS BETWEEN MEMORIAL DAY AND LABOR DAY, 2016:
Antelope County Historical Museum, Ashfall State Historical Park, Cedar County Historical Museum, Creighton Historical Center, Dixon County Museum, Graves Library Museum &Depot Railroad Museum, Mars Ghost Town Tours, Pierce Historical Society Museum, Plainview’s 1880 Railroad Depot Museum, Plainview Klown Doll Museum, Adams House Museum & Cook Blacksmith Shop, and Verdigre Heritage Museum.

When you visit each museum, the museum staff will place a sticker over their listing.  If you visit all 12 of the museums, you will be entered in a drawing for a package of books by local authors (total value over $200).  If you visit 10 or more museums, you will be entered in a drawing for a commemorative Hawthorne sign from movie “Nebraska” and a “Legends and Lore of the Outlaw Trail” book (total value of $35).  If you visit 6 or more museums you will be entered in a drawing for a $15 Walmart gift card.  Must be age 18 and over to participate.

The First Prize Book Pack includes:  Northeast Nebraska Barns by Joan Kershner, Ashfall Fossil Beds Guide Book, Women at the Reins by LaRayne M. Topp, Norfolk Nebraska the First 150 Years by Sheryl Sheryl Schmeckpeper, Antelope County by Marie Krohn, Hector's Bliss by Dennis Vossberg, The Aisles of the Forgotten Graveyard by Brad Kellogg, Buried on the Prairies of Knox County by Judy Carlson, Eliza the Pig by Alexandra McClanahan, The Hills of Mars by D. Completed passports must be sent to the RC&D Office at 702 E. Park Ave., Plainview, NE  68769 after Labor Day and before September 15, 2016.  The drawing will be held on September 21st.
