The Plainview Farmers Market ended its season on Wednesday, October 14th.  According to Market Manager, Pearl Laycock, there were more vendors this year than there were the previous year.  Also more people purchased goods this year.  "Overall, it was a very successful season," Laycock said.

This was the second year that the Farmers Market was offered in Plainview.  Located in the parking lot of the RC&D Office, the Plainview Farmers Market provided a venue for local growers/producers to sell there goods.  In addition, it made quality, locally grown foods available to the residents of Plainview.  Plus it drew vendors and customers into the community.
