The Northeast Nebraska Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council is all about supporting local entrepreneurs so the organization is doing something of their own. Two Council members are making rain barrels.
What’s could be better than capturing rain water to use on gardens. It’s a good way to save water and make the most of what falls naturally. The barrels can be configured according to the customer’s wish. Some open on top for dipping out of, others stand upright with a spigot at the bottom, and another style is laying the barrel horizontally. And they come in white or blue.
The barrels are on display in the RC&D meeting room Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each week. They can also be purchased at the Farmers Market on Wednesday mornings.
The RC&D continues to showcase local entrepreneurs and their products. Another new item being featured are Amish made throw rugs. Stop in and check it out!
