Embrace the Local Food Movement
Eating Locally, Everywhere

Locally raised food is healthy, nutritious and economically beneficial to specific regions and the family farmers who live and work there. It provides a connection with consumers not only to the food they eat, but also to the land where it is grown and the families who raise that food.
The Northeast Nebraska RC&D is once again hosting the Plainview Farmers Market each Wednesday 9am to 12:30pm from June through the end of September or first part of October. Held in the RC&D parking lot, the market provides a venue for local growers/gardeners to sell their produce, crafts, and/or baked goods. In addition, the market provides a place for the people of Plainview and the surrounding area to purchase fresh, healthy produce.
Be sure to stop by the RC&D Office at 702 E. Park Ave. in Plainview each Wednesday and check out the selection of fresh, healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables.
